Well so far 2016 has been fairly musically slow for me! Winter makes it very hard for me to want to get out of the house. I don't like being that person, but I truly hate being cold and I can talk myself out of even the most fun sounding things to avoid having to go out after dark when its cold outside! So lame! The early nights and the rest are probably for the best right as it is shaping up to be a very musical year! I already have several shows holding down spots on my calendar and that's just the big stuff that announces early, once the small stuff fills in it should be a very very fun year!
Here's what's on the docket so far!
3/5-Kasey Musgraves at the Midland
3/10-Titus Andronicus and Craig Finn at the Bottleneck
3/22-Brian Fallon at Riot Room
3/31-Murder By Death at the Granada
4/29-The Who at Sprint Center
5/11-Har Mar Superstar at the Bottleneck
5/25-Nada Surf at Crossroads
6/8-The Cure at Starlight
7/20-Weezer at Starlight
7/24-Duran Duran at Starlight
8/15-Heart/Joan Jett/ Cheap Trick at Starlight

I used to get to about 200 shows a year...of course, that was easy when most of them were free and many of them were required. These days I'm lucky to get to even a fraction of that. It is a fact of my life that I feel better about everything if I can get to at least one live music event per week. Its harder to do with a day job and a tendency toward lameness, but I'm working on making more of a priority. I know all too soon I'll be that person at the back who is slightly too old to be there and is creeping out all the kids...I look forward to wearing that badge!
