The last couple of weeks have been filled with being sick, Halloween madness, and the Kansas City Royals pushing through to the World Series...so with all that combined I've not been the most productive person in the world! I think I did exactly 1 productive thing as far as advancement of craft! I sold a couple of commissions that had finished about a month ago (and am not picturing because I didn't have the foresight to take pictures...surprised?), but with that money I decided to treat myself to a yarn cart that I've been lusting after!
This is one of those adorable little IKEA carts! In the grand tradition of my trips to IKEA (this one unsupervised!) I went in to buy 3 picture frames and came out having spent $120...I didn't even go through the showroom level (I did get 3 frames though, so its a win)!! I also had to get some new yarn because I have a couple of craft shows coming up...one of them HUGE so I wanted to be prepared!
Let me tell you about them! First, this Saturday, Halloween, I will be at A Peculiar Fall Festival in Peculiar, MO. I've driven past Peculiar a lot, but I've never actually been there. I'm quite interested to see how they embrace their town name. This fest is in the downtown area which I'm assuming is hard to miss? I'll be sharing a booth with my friend Kendra who also crochets so it should be yarn-tastic!
After that the next thing I have lined up is scaring me a little bit! Its the 49th Annual See N Sell in Salina, KS. It is gigantic! There will be like 200 booths, and presumably hundreds of people! Its not something I ever would have thought to sign up for but it is put on by the same people who did the one I did recently in Emporia (the Girls Scouts) and we were all encouraged to apply to take part. It should be a real learning experience and I'm very fortunate that my husband has agreed to come along to help!
Tuesday night marked the start of the Royals 2nd year in a row taking a trip to the World Series!! And boy did they mark it...14 innings but came out with a win! I typically like to crochet at games, but you just can't do that in the post season. Here was my view:

Not too shabby! The rest of the games will be viewed from my sofa, likely with a hook in hand to help handle the stress!
