Hi!! It has been, and continues to be, an exciting week!  It has not been the most productive week, but I did manage to get a few things done.  The end of last week and the first of this week were spent on vacation!  We went to Eureka Springs for an extended weekend.  Such a relaxing and inspiring place filled with friendly and creative people!  We love to just walk around and poke through the shops and enjoy all the weird wacky things this little town in an Ozark Mountain Valley has to offer!
Right off the bat I spotted and scooped up this really rad print by Big Bot Design.  This was a company I hadn't heard of before, but a little research shows me that they are pretty cool...if I couldn't tell from this print itself!  I grew up watching The Andy Griffith show nearly constantly so combining that with my love of all things horror made me pretty much the target audience for this piece!  Beware of the girls who come down from Mt Pilot!!

Another spot we really enjoy seeing in Eureka Springs is Quigley's Castle.  This place is weird and neat!  If you like cool rocks, beautiful plants, and strange stories from the past this place fits the bill!  Not to mentioned a woman with a big idea and the drive to make it happen!
Also, check out this rad staircase!  Speaking of big ideas!  Way to make a useful feature also a beautiful feature!

That was the long and short of our weekend trip and we capped it off Monday with a trip to the Kansas State Fair!  It seems like its harder to fit it in each year but I've never missed it!  I won't regale you with my tales of fried food on sticks, but know that I enjoyed it!  I would like to point out that the hand lettered signs at the KS State Fair are pretty much my gold standard as far as hand lettering goes.  Here's an example:

Its just a sign for information and yet it manages to look interesting and impactful!  Also, what's not to love about the phrase "Before Cooping In!"

I did get a few of my own projects worked on as well...take a look!

I call this Tiny Crochet Death.  I'm not very good at amigurumi yet and this one was made with a hook that was too big, hence why you can see the stuffing.  My next attempt with a properly sized hook looks a bit like Sloth from the Goonies.  So perhaps 3rd time's a charm right?  I'll get there, I have to get there, I've already got a request for one!
Finally, and then I swear I'll shut up, I got a stamp made with the new logo I showed you last week!  Its taking some trial and error to get the right pressure but I love it!  Because I am overzealous about fall craft fairs I've also gotten some bags to put my many many sales in (can't hurt to be optimistic!) and I've stamped my logo on some of them!  Pretty exciting stuff you guys!!

I lied a little bit, I'm not quite done.  I'll be at the Shawnee Town Arts and Crafts Fair in Shawnee Kansas this Saturday from 9am to 4pm.  Come see me!
