You guys! I got almost to the end of March without mentioning that it is apparently National Crochet Month! You know, for me, that every month is crochet month but they don't make things like that for people like me. They make them to remind people that there are super fun crafts out there that can help you relieve stress and leave you with a cool new thing you can wear or use! I know that if I go a few too many days without crochet I lose my mind a little bit, nothing soothes me like just sitting and making! I hope you all have something like that that helps you get out of your head, leave work behind, and relax a bit...if you want to learn to crochet let me know!
Now, lets talk about this past weekend's Crafts and Drafts! It went surprisingly well! I had pretty low expectations simply because it's a little late in the season for people to want to look at yarn. The morning chill and having a bit of a sale really helped me out! Most of the shoppers were super nice (likely because they all had beers in hand) and I even met a couple of ladies who crochet as well, which I always enjoy! As I loaded out I ran into an old friend that I hadn't seen in awhile and that was pretty rad too! All in all it was a worthwhile day! Here's what the booth looked like:
I found that sweet rug at World Market! It's an outdoor rug so it's plastic and durable. It also doesn't show the dust that gets kicked up. It was so cheap and I love it so much that I may go buy another one! I love the idea of having a rug in the booth, it makes it feel like welcoming little house. I've also decided that I like that gray table cloth (er, bed sheet) so much better than the white that I'm going to get another one of those. I have a lot of fun ideas for the booth next season, I can't wait to make them happen!
