I will be the first to admit it, I really fell off with the regular posting! I'm sorry about that! The reasons are pretty simple, the holiday season is a busy time for the handcrafter! They also, I think, would be pretty boring to the outside observer...yes I was all over the place, but all over the place doing the same things on repeat. I was making the same things, I was selling the same things, not really much to write home about! This is by no means a complaint, just maybe not the most compelling reading! Next year I hope to have a back log of posts ready to go to keep everyone entertained during those times when I feel like I'm on repeat!
I have a lot of exciting personal/creative goals for this year that I can't wait to share with you! I'm excited to have some time to try out some new techniques, new materials, and learn new things, while also slowly building my for sale stash back up before the mayhem hits again! The first thing you will be able to look forward to is my first toe dip into the world of pattern publishing! I have 2 patterns written and ready to go, I just need to get them tested. I hope to have them published by the end of January! If you have any interest in trying your hand at crochet pattern testing please let me know, I am not at a point where I can pay someone, but I always appreciate and extra set of eyes! Lets grow our talents together!
For the immediate future I'm hoping that another live craft sale or two pops up before the winter is over, but if you are sitting there shivering please check out my Etsy shop, there is still plenty of great stuff!
And finally, here is a quick rundown of my most recent sales...so at least there can be some photos in this post!

Here is one that I thought out the gate might not go well, and boy was I wrong! This was the International Interior Designer Association Maker Market to benefit Rightfully Sewn. My table was only 6 feet by 1 foot and boy did I over pack! I made it work and I nearly sold out of what you see here! It was a smaller market but people came to shop for real and they were all super nice! |
The same weekend as the sale above I had another sale, The Gypsy Market at the Bauer here in Kansas City. It was a Sunday and people were moving a lot slower (myself included) but the space was beautiful and my artsy booth neighbors made it a fun day! I'm sure I spent about what I made, but I knocked out a good portion of my own holiday shopping list that day! |
My final sale of the season was for the Kansas City Horror Club. I did this one last year but last year I felt like maybe my stuff wasn't edgy enough for the crowd on hand. This year I did a bit better so maybe they finally get me! I had a table next to my very best friend, so there was no way around it being a great day! It was the perfect laid back sale to cap off the season for me! |
Check back next week...I promise I'll be here!!
