Good morning faithful followers! I am on the road to recovery! Taking things a bit easier and wearing the arm brace has meant no more waking up in the night with stabbing elbow and forearm pain, and that's pretty awesome! It does not mean that I got the next Twinkie Chan pattern done as I had hoped, but it was a busy week! I spent all of last weekend at the Panic Film Fest which is an annual horror movie festival that happens here in Kansas City. I watched 10 movies in 3 days...and it was surprisingly exhausting! It was tons of fun though, definitely something I eagerly await every year!
In other exciting news, Instagram has now made it easy to switch between 2 separate accounts without having to log in and out. This means I'll do a much better job of keeping up the "business" account! If you don't already, please go follow me at https://www.instagram.com/dhgproductions/

With the spot on the injured list and the massive movie mania I didn't get a chance to get many new things made. So here are some things you may have missed on Instagram!
First this fun apron! At my last craft sale I realized my life would be much easier if I had an apron, and why not just make one myself! I modified this Lion Brand pattern to give it a thicker waistband and a divided (crookedly) pocket. I also used acrylic yarn rather than cotton because it is what I had on hand and I liked the colors better. I think this is going to be really fun for this upcoming craft fair season!

I have also been working on creating some new patterns of my own. I've had this coozie pattern in my head for awhile and am trying to work it out so it looks good on a cup! It has little cat ears! I think I need to move them a stitch closer to each other and I'm on the fence about if it needs eyes or other facial features. I like the simplicity of just the ears, but I'm not sure if its cat-ness comes across without more detail. These will fit cans, bottles, pint classes, and travel coffee cups! They are so quick to make that I'm excited to do them in a million colors!

Finally, I've been wanting to figure out a hat pattern that works up fairly quickly and can be worn either as a traditional "old school" beanie style cap, or as a slouchy hat that's so hip right now. I had been playing with some that are just one stitch but I really liked the look of a ribbed band, though I didn't want to have to stitch that on separately. I settled on this ribbed band seed stitch pattern. It works up as a rectangle and then all I have to do is stitch and gather! So far its not actually a very quick item, but I think the look is worth the time and a lot of people have already expressed interest! Gotta wait until Fall though my pretties!!
I'm also working on some ideas for adding permanent tags to all of my finished projects, I hope to be able to show you something in that department soon! There are so many things I want to work on and so little time to do it...I feel like I'm really swimming upstream on this, but hopefully I can reach a comfortable spot where I feel like I'm making real progress!
