I'm fresh off my first solo craft fair! I was really worried I wouldn't have enough stuff to fill a 10'x10' booth, but it turns out if you spread it out right it works! I also tried a few new things with the set up so that's what I thought I'd update about today! Its going to be a picture heavy post but being worth a thousand words and all they should make for quite the photo essay!
In addition to having my own space, I also was indoors, so no tent to create a space for me. The closet shelf grid walls that my wonderful husband made legs for really did their work at this one creating a sense of height! And as you can see I got that very coveted spot right next to the fire alarm (and right inside the front door)!
In order to save some table space I discovered I could hang this little basket. Not only did it work for space saving, but the contents got a bit more interest than they usually do as well...and for some reason it really tickled me!
This is probably also the first time I was able to get out all 4 of the pillows I have at the same time. It didn't change the fact that no one is interested in them, but I'll continue to hold out hope that they'll catch an eye eventually!
I don't know if I showed you guys my new (to me) Tech Mitt Tree! Its another thing that tickles me! I also had to get the styrofoam heads back out for more display and to take up more space! It was a two table party this time around and Target was out of white flat sheets so I had to get this nice dark grey...which I now kind of like better than the white!
Don't worry, Debra and Erika still got to come to the party! I'm also loving my new set up for the fringe scarves! It finally solved the problem of "where the heck do I hang this weird torso!"
This craft fair was held in Emporia, KS in the Boywer Community Building. For those that don't know its named for (and provided by I assume) a big time race car driver from my home town. He seems to have diversified with a large autoplex as well. Good for him, you can't drive in ovals for ever, best to stack that paper!

Finally, I posted this photo of a fringe scarf in action at the show and not only did that drum up and order online, it also got a couple of comment requests for some more manly colors...that I can do! On Monday I wore a different fringe scarf to a concert and was able to pass out a couple of business cards to some admirers...they sell themselves! Sort of!
I really feel like I'm starting to find my ideal customer and I feel more able to create for that hypothetical person. I think the harder part will be getting the product in front of that person, I'm not sure that craft fairs are exactly where I belong but I do enjoy doing them!
