Alright!! I've been busily putting the finishing touches on my first round of fall product! I could not be more excited! This means that I'm getting very close to the stage where I photograph things for the Etsy store. I'm pretty proud of myself for getting things underway so that I can knock out all the "photo shoots" while the hours of daylight are still in abundance instead of waiting for winter when I have to beg mother nature for a good day! As we well know, photography is not my strong suit, but we also know I just got this fancy dancy new (to me) camera! I've been reading up on all the how-tos of this sort of thing and watching photoshop tutorials. Hopefully I can turn out something worthwhile!
Look at those stacks of hats! Don't my photos look better already?? Its a start anyway. In order to get more practice, I've been cornering my relatively unwilling 4 legged models!
This is Angus, he's full of himself so its only fitting that the house paparazzi would follow him around the living room until he submitted to these stunning snaps! On the left you see him deep in thought. He's very worried about global issues and what the birds in the yard might be doing with their time. I call the photo on the right "Paw At Rest"...I think it speaks for itself.
Though he would argue that he is the most photogenic in the house, Angus is not alone. On the left above we have Kipper. He shares the Native American belief that photographs steal your soul and has been hard to catch in the "wild." You can see the look for suspicion in his eyes. On the right, the beautiful Tilly. She is elusive so this was the best shot I could get of her. I may have to safari a bit to capture some better photos of her!
Finally a little foreground/ background work! Even in the foreground Angus is a little fuzzy (pun intended but also not intended) but I think its not bad for the first few pics I've taken!
I'm sure you guys don't come here for pictures of my pets, but I hope you enjoy them anyway! There will likely be more before there are less because I need practice!
