Anyway, I've opted this trip to take along the yarn for a baby blanket I have on my docket. Its all one color so I shouldn't need to cut anything, which will alleviate my scissor travel anxiety, and its a patter I have memorized!
Here's a funny story for you: Yesterday at work we had our monthly floor meeting. I work at a very corporate engineering firm. We had to break off into groups and tell our group something we like to do in our spare time...to get to know each other better. What a nightmare. I said that in my spare time I crochet, which at first didn't strike anyone as anything of interest. I got the typical "oh" reaction. We needed to nominate the person in our group with the most exciting outside of work doings. I was not in the running, this was more than fine with me. Then someone said "what is the most interesting thing you've crocheted lately?" and I said "well...I made a scarf that looks like toast." They all looked at me like they weren't sure how that could be possible so I got out my phone and showed them a picture. That bumped me up to the most interesting in our group (edging out a gal planning a wedding and someone going to a conference in France) and ultimately the most interesting in the room (engineers, not the most exciting outside of work as it turns out). I won a dozen cupcakes!
That's it, that's all I've got this week! Keep your eyes to the skies for the announcement of a BIG end of season sale next month!!
